Modere is a portfolio company of Z Capital Partners, L.L.C., a leading alternative asset management firm with $2.2 billion in regulatory assets under management across complementary private equity and credit businesses.

The addition of Jusuru to Modere will accelerate the international expansion of Jusuru's award-winning Collagen/HA Matrix Technology™ and fuel future Modere health, wellness and personal care products. The recognition was based on activities completed by the company from March 2012 through March 2013. Jusuru International was one of only 52 member companies who received this honorable distinction for going above and beyond in their efforts to promote awareness of the DSA’s Code of Ethics.

Earlier this month, Ms. Ishaq and Jusuru’s executive management team took the company’s top independent representatives on an incentive trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The company had made a substantial contribution to the Falmouth S.D.A. Preparatory School in Falmouth, Jamaica, and assembled a humanitarian aid project on June 7, 2013, as part of Jusuru’s Giving Back initiative.

The project consisted of repainting the entire school, which included both interior and exterior, and multiple stories. In addition to supplying all the able hands and painting supplies, Jusuru and its independent representatives’ financial contributions helped provide needed floor tiling, office furniture, restroom facilities and a long-overdue building facelift with the objective of giving the school children a better educational and recreational environment.

Rise to Enterprise 2012 featured several high profile motivational speakers, as well as business training sessions. Scientific Journal Publishes Results of Clinical Trial on BioCell Collagen

Jusuru International, Inc is proud to announce that a human clinical study confirms earlier studies demonstrating the benefits of BioCell Collagen’s ability to improve joint discomfort and overall quality of life.

April 18, 2012, Newport Beach, CA - In results of a multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical study published by the prestigious Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry; researchers found that people experienced significant improvement in their joint discomfort levels, and ability to participate in everyday activities, after taking BioCell Collagen.

The breakthrough ingredient contained in Jusuru Life Blend, exclusively in a liquid form, BioCell Collagen, contains highly bioavailable forms of the major constituents of human joints: collagen type II, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate. There are more than 14 different types of collagen found in the body. Collagen type II is the main structural building block of soft connective tissue and joint cartilage. Previous studies have demonstrated that BioCell Collagen, found in Jusuru Life Blend, is effectively absorbed into the bloodstream, and indicate that hydrolyzed collagen-derived peptides are deposited into the joint cartilage to protect and to stimulate the chondrocytes to produce novel collagen type II and other molecules essential for the cartilage structure.

“This ingredient has a lower molecular weight than other forms of joint supplements, which appears to be an important reason for its effectiveness,” comments Jerome Stenehjem, MD, School of Medicine, University of California at San Diego, a principle study investigator. “It is possible that nutrients such as those found in this patented supplement may improve the quality of the joint fluid, thereby supporting better joint health.”

Clinical trial details

This recent study involved 80 subjects. They received either one gram twice daily of BioCell Collagen or a placebo for 70 days. The treatment group experienced a significant improvement. All primary endpoints were met for statistical significance. The percentage of the subjects who experienced at least 30% improvement was 40% in the BioCell Collagen group and only 3% in the placebo. BioCell Collagen was well tolerated by the subjects in the clinical trial.

“This was the largest randomized controlled human study to date of BioCell Collagen, and it confirms previous studies that demonstrated similar effectiveness and safety,” stated Stenehjem.

Jusuru Discloses Results of Human Study on Aging Skin

Anaheim, CA March 01, 2012 -- Jusuru International Inc. recently released a ‘white paper’ outlining the results of a human skin study on Jusuru Life Blend™’s (Jusuru®) effects on various aging signs in facial skin. Daily supplementation with Jusuru showed an increase in skin collagen, blood microcirculation and reduction in wrinkles, fine lines, and skin dryness/scaling.

Jusuru is a dietary supplement comprised of a proprietary liquid formulation designed to promote healthy aging. Jusuru contains three major ingredients which include multi-patented BioCell Collagen TF®, resveratrol, and thirteen fruits that work synergistically to promote healthy aging via more active joints and youthful skin. The growing body of scientific evidence that supports these ingredients is immense, and with this recent study Jusuru adds even more substantiation, especially in that Jusuru is a finished product comprised of three proven active ingredients.

During 2011, Jusuru International, Inc. performed a human skin study on women in their thirties to fifties who had undergone both natural- and photo-aging processes. The study, employing both qualitative and quantitative bioinstrumentation techniques, showed that upon taking 4 fl. oz. of Jusuru daily for 12 weeks, the subjects (N=25) experienced almost complete reduction of dryness/scaling as well as a substantial decrease in wrinkles (-6.6%) and deep lines (-10.3%) on their faces. Under the skin, Jusuru caused a significant increase in collagen (+6%) in the dermis and a significant improvement in blood microcirculation (+14.2%). Melanin content also decreased (-4.2%). As a result, the majority of the study participants experienced improvement in hydration/scaling (80%), skin texture (88%), and elasticity/firmness (52%) as well as reduction of blotchiness/redness (52%).

The positive outcome of this study is considered highly significant and beneficial to the nascent nutricosmetic industry because it revealed multi-faceted ‘beauty-from-within’ physiological mechanisms elicited by daily supplementation with Jusuru. The results of this study provide evidence that the nutricosmetic approach does work to influence the metabolism of the extracellular matrix in the skin dermis. The daily intake of Jusuru, which increases collagen content and microcirculation, could counteract both natural and photoaging processes likely by remodeling the ECM network, enhancing microvasculature health, and re-stimulating dermal fibroblasts, the functions of which are essential for the maintenance of youthful skin. The US public has been skeptical about nutricosmetic effects of dietary ingredients and the results of this study imply that a key event in skin aging, the degradation and disorganization of collagen fibrils, could be tackled by ingestion of appropriate dietary supplements such as Jusuru.

Jusuru Shows Haiti Relief Footage

The video includes footage taken during a recent trip by Jusuru executives to help distribute supplies that Jusuru had contributed to the relief effort. Anaheim-based Jusuru International, Inc. announced that the 36,000 bottles of patented oxygenated water, valued at $75,000 (USD), it had donated to survivors of the Haiti earthquake had at last been shipped. Jusuru had been trying to arrange this shipment since the early days following the January 12 disaster. The delay was due to the transportation bottleneck caused by the near-total breakdown of Haiti’s port and airport infrastructure as a result of the devastating earthquake. The bottled water — along with many products donated by other manufacturers — were temporarily embargoed until after the most urgently needed medical supplies and equipment had gotten through the transportation bottleneck.

“In keeping with our corporate commitment to give back a portion of our proceeds to charitable causes, we’re very proud to be giving this donation as a result of our early success,” says Asma Ishaq, President of Jusuru International.
