LifeVantage Introduces New Products, Training and Tools

Press Release | 11/7/2017

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 06, 2017 -- LifeVantage Corporation just concluded Elite Academy, 2017. The event, held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida serves as an important forum for new product announcements, training, and motivation.

LifeVantage kicked off Elite Academy by announcing two new products: Omega+™ and Stacks. According to Chief Science Officer Nathalie Chevreau, Omega+ represents a new way to deliver the right combination of Omega 3s, Omega 7s, and Vitamin D in a high-end formula that’s purely sourced and completely traceable. Stacks combines the company’s best-selling products into different combinations designed to target specific health needs, helping further cement LifeVantage as a worldwide leader in biohacking.

“Biohacking is about helping our customers take control of their health to get the results they want,” said President and CEO Darren Jensen. “Stacks is a powerful line of nutrigenomic products that deliver on that vision with customized and targeted health solutions.”

LifeVantage also announced that the company has commenced a cross-border commercial pilot program in China. Still in commercial testing, the program will use an ecommerce model that is incremental to the traditional network marketing model LifeVantage conducts across the rest of its markets. The new model, powered by independent in-country social marketers, capitalizes on the rising trend of social entrepreneurism. The announcement was met with overwhelming response from attendees at the Elite Academy event, who participated in initial training on the innovative new ecommerce model.

Elite Academy also included several new technology announcements as LifeVantage continues to integrate advanced sales tools into its operations. Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan Goodwin, presented a revamped company website that simplifies the shopping experience for LifeVantage’s thousands of distributors across the world.

In addition, LifeVantage used Elite Academy to debut LifeVantage Digital—a new mobile app that provides distributors with all the functionality they need to build and run their businesses. This app will let distributors streamline their day-to-day operations by helping them manage everything from contacts and presentations to reporting and analysis from their mobile devices by using artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Business and personal development continued as important themes throughout Elite Academy, especially when world renowned author, coach and speaker John C. Maxwell took the stage on Saturday morning. Maxwell, the author of several New York Times best-selling books including The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, returned to Elite Academy to speak about the power of personal growth. According to Maxwell, personal growth is a lifelong journey that takes practice designed to increase capacity.

New Clinically Tested Anti-Aging Beauty Regimen Revealed at Company's Annual Global Convention

SALT LAKE CITY, April 25, 2014 -- LifeVantage Corporation, a company dedicated to helping people achieve healthy living through a combination of a compelling business opportunity and scientifically validated products, has launched a revolutionary beauty system consisting of a full line of anti-aging skin care products with enhanced Nrf2 technologies under its existing TrueScience brand. The new regimen was initially unveiled at the company's Annual Global Convention, held April 23-26, 2014, in Salt Lake City.

The full TrueScience skin care regimen consists of four products: TrueScience(TM) Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser, TrueScience(TM) Perfecting Lotion, TrueScience(TM) Eye Corrector Serum, and TrueScience(TM) Anti-Aging Cream, which is an enhanced version of the company's existing anti-aging facial cream. The regimen has been tested in an independent third-party clinical study and has been shown to reduce the visible signs of aging by utilizing Nrf2 technologies to mitigate the visible effects of skin damage caused by oxidative stress. Studies show that, in just four weeks, the skin appears renewed, visibly younger, brighter and more even-toned.

The products are available immediately and will be sold through the company's Distributor network and to Preferred Customers in all markets where LifeVantage currently operates. The complete four-product regimen is being offered at $160, or customers may elect to purchase each product individually, with prices ranging between $25 and $70. All products are free of parabens, GMOs, gluten, petrolatum, mineral oils, and artificial colorants.

Douglas C. Robinson, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeVantage, stated, "We are excited to introduce our new skincare line. These products leverage our significant research on Nrf2 and oxidative stress as well as the TrueScience brand. We worked closely with the world's foremost skin care experts to create a regimen that is unique, shows great results and is priced competitively within the prestige beauty category. LifeVantage Awards 55 Jeeps to Top Distributors

Press Release | 8/14/2013

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug 14, 2013 -- Fifty-five customized Jeep Wranglers are changing lives from Hawaii to Florida, Oregon to Arizona. Keys and clear titles to these symbols of freedom were presented recently to a variety of young, old, employed and retired individuals at a Denver event of Salt Lake City-based global network marketing and healthy-living products company LifeVantage Corporation. The 55 Jeeps are the first to be awarded to the company's top-performing independent distributors as part of a new program called My LifeVenture.

"The My LifeVenture program reflects our company's culture of promoting self-fulfillment, expanding personal horizons and seizing life's adventure," says LifeVantage President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas C. Robinson. "As a network marketing company, we have attracted some 65,000 individuals to market our science-based, healthy-living products as independent distributors in the U.S., Asia and beyond. Our products, like Protandim(R), the Nrf2 Synergizer(R) patented dietary supplement, are distinguished by impressive scientific research; our distributor training and support is the best in the industry. But we wanted to establish a new benchmark for distributor recognition and reward. Giving away Jeep Wranglers - vehicles that embody freedom, adventure, family and fun - makes this exciting new program totally unique and utterly appropriate for our healthy-living mission."

Distributors who qualify for Jeeps don't simply get the keys and the right to pick their custom accessories; they're enrolled in the My LifeVenture experience - an endless calendar of special adventures, like caravanning up Pikes Peak, Colorado, in late July, and exploring Coeur D'Alene, Idaho in August. Some of the excursions will be designed to leverage the Jeeps' free-wheeling, off-road capabilities, while others will showcase the smooth ride on open highways, but all will provide memorable bonding opportunities for everyone involved.

"The impressive anti-aging research that supports LifeVantage's products has always been a powerful tool to recruit distributors and customers for Protandim, TrueScience(R) Anti-Aging Cream and LifeVantage Canine Health," says Tyler Daniels, one of LifeVantage's top distributors and a resident of Richfield, Utah. "But the decision to become a distributor goes beyond the products. We're drawn to this company by the culture it promotes - integrity, family and improving the lives of others - and the freedom from financial concerns that it delivers."

Daniels, who took delivery of his super-accessorized Jeep in Denver, says, "The vehicle is not just an end, it's a means - to encourage our LifeVantage families to seize the day and get the most out of life. It's also an important tool to inspire our newer and future distributors to go the extra distance in marketing LifeVantage's remarkable business opportunity and products. My LifeVenture is like no other program in the network marketing industry."

An up-and-coming LifeVantage distributor, teenager Dillon Delaney of Tucson, Arizona, offers another perspective. "The Jeeps are awesome; they appeal to the younger generation because they represent fun and adventure," Delaney says. "I started representing LifeVantage because I believed in their products. I was blown away by all the lives that LifeVantage and its distributors had changed. I've grown my business rapidly for a little over a year and I'm already enjoying a substantial cash flow. The new My LifeVenture program," he says, "has put me into overdrive. Taking title to a Jeep, customized to my own specs, will be a dream come true."

Vehicles have been used in other companies' programs, but they usually come with strings attached, such as leases or revocation clauses for failure to maintain sales volume. "Giving clear and permanent title to cars is a unusual incentive," Robinson notes. "It's our way of celebrating and helping to fulfill our Elite-level distributors' personal and professional dreams."

LifeVantage Expands International Operations in Canada

Press Release | 6/4/2013

SALT LAKE CITY, June 4, Jun 04, 2013 -- LifeVantage Corporation, a company dedicated to helping people achieve healthy living through a combination of a compelling business opportunity and scientifically validated products, has announced that it has expanded its direct selling business into Canada.

Previously, LifeVantage has sold its products, Protandim(R), the Nrf2 Synergizer(R) and TrueScience(R) Anti-Aging Cream on a limited basis to preferred customers in Canada, but did not offer the opportunity for interested customers to participate in the company's business opportunity. Effective June 5, however, the company will be accepting applications for independent distributors in Canada and will begin paying commissions to qualified independent distributors later during the month of June.

"For nearly two years, our distributors and preferred customers have demonstrated a substantial demand for our products and business opportunity in Canada," said LifeVantage President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas C. Robinson. "We also realize that a large opportunity exists for network marketing growth in the country. The World Federation of Direct Selling Associations reported a market of approximately 700,000 distributors and sales of $2.2 billion in 2011 in Canada. We believe an expansion into Canada is, therefore, directly in-line with our commitment to increase operations in countries that we believe represent long-term growth opportunities."

Mr. Robinson continued, "We will begin our Canadian expansion by continuing to offer both Protandim(R) and TrueScience(R) to preferred customers and now distributors in Canada, and expect to offer our new LifeVantage Canine Health product in Canada in the future."

With this expansion into Canada, LifeVantage is now doing business in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia.

During the third fiscal quarter, we continued our strategic infrastructure investment, with a focus on scaling our business in fiscal year 2014 and beyond. With record attendance at our recent Annual Global Convention in Salt Lake City, the high energy confirmed the on-going dedication of our distributors. SALT LAKE CITY, Jan 22, 2013 -- LifeVantage Corporation, a company dedicated to helping people achieve healthy living through a combination of a compelling business opportunity and scientifically validated products, including its patented dietary supplement Protandim, the Nrf2 Synergizer, introduced at its Elite Academy in San Antonio its newest healthy living product, Canine Health, a supplement specifically formulated for dogs to combat oxidative stress through Nrf2 activation. The product is also formulated to support joint function, mobility, flexibility and cognitive function.

The Canine Health product was developed by LifeVantage in conjunction with renowned veterinarian and authority on animal nutrition, William Barnett, DVM, who has nearly 40 years of experience in veterinary medicine and in bringing products to market designed to improve animal health. Canine Health includes the same natural active ingredients as Protandim, at dosage levels specifically formulated for dogs, as well as omega-3 fatty acids and Type II collagen. These ingredients have been shown to reduce oxidative stress, support brain, heart and eye function, as well as normal joint structure and function.

"Protandim was developed to promote healthy living by helping people reduce age-related symptoms at the cellular level," said LifeVantage President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas C. Robinson. "Like humans, dogs suffer from oxidative stress, and research shows that canine companions can benefit from the same active ingredients contained in our patented flagship product, Protandim.

"Canine Health has been clinically tested in collaboration with Dr. Craig Woods, DVM, of Animal Health Consultants in Prescott, Arizona in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-site study that demonstrates the safety and benefits of the product." Robinson added, "We have also gone a step further--adding vital ingredients already widely used to maintain pet health--to make Canine Health a convenient, all-in-one supplement and the only product in the world that is specifically formulated to treat oxidative stress in pets."

According to a leading authority on oxidative stress in pets, Dr. Maureen McMichael, DVM, DACVECC, Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois, "LifeVantage Canine Health meets all criteria for a safe, easily administered, appealing product that targets multiple oxidative stress pathways in canines. My primary research focus has been the cause and treatment of oxidative stress in animals and humans so I am very excited to recommend this product to pet owners. Based on my research and on statistics from the American Pet Products Association, which show 39 percent of U.S. households have dogs--numbering more than 78 million--I believe there is a great need for Canine Health among pets."

LifeVantage Makes Charitable Donation to Traffic Jam

Press Release | 4/21/2012

SALT LAKE CITY, Apr 20, 2012 -- LifeVantage Corporation, maker of Protandim(R), the Nrf2 Synergizer(TM) patented dietary supplement, announced today it has made a substantial charitable donation to Traffic Jam Campaign, a non-profit organization dedicated to freeing children around the world from child trafficking for the purposes of slavery, prostitution and conscripted military service.

Traffic Jam Campaign was founded by Paul Myhill, who also co-founded the predecessor company of LifeVantage Corporation in 2004. In 2006, Mr. Myhill stepped down from all his roles with the Company to focus on charitable endeavors and the Company generously gifted stock to a foundation under Mr. Myhill's trusteeship. In 2011, LifeVantage and many of its Independent Distributors again contributed to Mr. Myhill's charitable organization. Although in recent months, Mr. Myhill's communications in various social media forums created misunderstandings regarding the Company, LifeVantage and Mr. Myhill are pleased to announce that all areas of misunderstanding have been amicably resolved in full.

"We are pleased to make this significant contribution to Traffic Jam Campaign, an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of children," said Douglas C. Robinson, President and CEO of LifeVantage.

"I express my gratitude to LifeVantage for today's generous contribution as well as its past contributions to further the mission of Traffic Jam Campaign, and I deeply regret any damage or confusion that may have been caused by my public remarks in recent months," Paul Myhill said. "I fully support LifeVantage and its mission, its corporate integrity, its marketing strategy and efforts, and its continued dedication to improving the quality of life for others. I recognize and appreciate the extensive contributions of Dr. Joe McCord and others in the Company in developing, testing and refining Protandim and acknowledge that credit for the current success of LifeVantage and Protandim belongs to many. I am honored to continue as a champion of LifeVantage, but remain primarily focused on my efforts toward helping children around the world."

Mr. Robinson continued, "Mr. Myhill shares our commitment to improving the lives of others and we are pleased to have resolved all of his concerns. LifeVantage remains dedicated to offering science based, research backed products that result in a better quality of life for all. Our flagship product Protandim has been reviewed and validated by investigators at highly respected universities and institutions and continues to be studied worldwide for its ability to reduce oxidative stress, primarily through the activation of Nrf2. We also remain committed to conducting our business, as always, with the highest degree of integrity and transparency."

LifeVantage Spokesperson Donny Osmond Appears on Dr Phil Show

Press Release | 2/11/2012

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb 9, 2012 -- LifeVantage Corporation, maker of Protandim(R), the Nrf2 Synergizer(TM) patented Dietary Supplement, announced today that its spokesperson, Donny Osmond, appeared on the Dr. Phil show February 8 and shared one of his "secrets" to his youthful appearance and vitality--Protandim. On the heels of Donny's appearance, Protandim ranked first among Google searches in the United States February 8, and remains in the top among Google searches in the United States February 9. In addition to its Google trend ranking, LifeVantage.com visits were up nearly 300% and Protandim.com visits were up over 800% during the same time period.

Donny Osmond, the 2009 "Dancing with the Stars" champion, said he had discovered what he called his own "fountain of youth"--Protandim--during his appearance on the Dr. Phil show. Donny added that he has taken Protandim for two years at his doctor's recommendation and has experienced many health benefits and anti-aging results.

"This continues to be an exciting time for Protandim and LifeVantage," said LifeVantage President and CEO, Douglas C. Robinson. "There is an ever increasing number of Nrf2 studies in many of the most respected universities and institutions around the world. It is also gratifying to know that Protandim is of such interest that people have been typing 'Protandim' in Google searches more than any other word recently."

About Protandim, the Nrf2 Synergizer

Protandim(R) is a clinically demonstrated supplement that provides substantial benefits for healthy aging. Nrf2 is a protein messenger contained in every cell of the body. When activated, Nrf2 enters the cell nucleus and turns on hundreds of survival genes, defensive, stress responsive, cytoprotective genes that enable cells to survive in the face of several different kinds of stress, particularly oxidative stress. This patented Nrf2-activating therapy works in a very different way than conventional antioxidant supplements. Unlike vitamin or carotenoid-containing products that have proven to be largely ineffective in reducing oxidative stress caused by free radicals, Protandim is an indirect antioxidant therapy, which stimulates the body's production of its own powerful antioxidant enzymes and other stress-related gene products. Protandim works at the cellular level, triggering cells to naturally increase production of protective antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and glutathione synthase, while decreasing production of pro-inflammatory signals. A peer-reviewed human clinical study showed that after Protandim was taken for 30 consecutive days, important biochemical markers of aging were decreased by an average of 40%. The study also reported that these markers of aging were reduced in the subjects taking Protandim to the level of a typical 20 year old. Protandim is currently the subject of several scientific studies at universities and research facilities. The nature and stages of the studies vary. Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, Protandim is considered a "dietary supplement". Protandim is not intended for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, mitigation or cure of any disease.

LifeVantage Announces New Peer Reviewed Study

Press Release | 11/11/2011

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov 10, 2011 -- LifeVantage Corporation, the maker of science-based solutions to oxidative stress, announced today that a new peer-reviewed study involving its flagship product, Protandim(R), has been published in the scientific journal Molecular Aspects of Medicine. The new paper takes a historical look at the field of biological antioxidants and oxidative stress, examines gene regulation by Protandim(R) and relevant pathways, and links together past observations about antioxidant enzyme functions with current investigations into antioxidant gene regulation.

Protandim(R), a patented dietary supplement comprised of five highly synergistic natural ingredients, was shown in earlier studies to activate the transcription factor Nrf2, a signal to the cell's DNA to regulate a network of protective genes. This new study further investigates Protandim's(R) ability to increase production of the body's Nrf2-regulated protective genes, sometimes referred to as "survival genes," which include genes that encode antioxidant enzymes, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic proteins.

The study, titled "Oxidative Stress in Health and Disease: The Therapeutic Potential of Nrf2 Activation" by Brooks M. Hybertson, Bifeng Gao, Swapan K. Bose, and Joe M. McCord, is published in the scientific journal Molecular Aspects of Medicine and may be found at the following link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22020111 .

"This study examined gene expression using Affymetrix(R) GeneChips and the relationships among the regulated genes using Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(R) in cultured human cells treated with Protandim(R)," said Dr. McCord, Chief Science Officer of LifeVantage and senior author of the study.

Thousands of genes were affected by Protandim(R) treatment, including prototypical Nrf2-dependent genes such as heme oxygenase-1. Pathway Analysis was utilized to glean insights from the upregulated and downregulated genes, and it revealed that many of the genes affected by Nrf2 activation are relevant to Alzheimer's Disease, atherosclerosis, and colon carcinoma, among other conditions. For the majority of the genes associated with these conditions by pathway analysis, Nrf2 activation in cultured cells regulated the genes in directions that opposed the changes produced by the disease processes.

Further, the study described a bioassay that allows for direct comparisons of efficacy among Nrf2 activators applied to cultured cells. The agents examined included Protandim(R) and sulforaphane, the well-studied Nrf2 activator found in broccoli, and two pharmaceutical Nrf2-activating products currently in phase 3 human clinical trials. One of these, bardoxolone methyl from Reata Pharmaceuticals/Abbott Laboratories, is a promising candidate for the treatment of chronic kidney disease in type II diabetes patients, based on their reported Phase 2 and Phase 3 human clinical trials to date. The other pharmaceutical product, BG-12 (dimethyl fumarate) from Biogen Idec, is a promising candidate for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, based on their reported Phase 2 and Phase 3 human clinical trials results to date. Both pharma products recognize Nrf2 pathway activation as the basis of their physiological activity.

"The early successes of Nrf2 activation in the treatment of diseases as disparate as kidney failure and multiple sclerosis bodes well for the future usefulness of Nrf2 activation, whether managed by pharmaceutical products, dietary supplements such as Protandim(R), or by diet itself," said Dr. McCord.

"Protandim(R) was shown in an earlier human trial to increase antioxidant enzyme production and to eliminate the age-dependent increase in the most widely used marker of oxidative stress," stated Douglas C. Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of LifeVantage. "The current study, as well as other recent studies, have shown that Protandim(R) may provide benefits to the body that extend beyond its ability to decrease oxidative stress. Scientific publications such as these help raise the profile and expand the awareness of our product, and we look forward to continuing to help a growing number of people achieve their health and wellness goals."

LifeVantage Announces Record Fiscal Year

Press Release | 9/30/2011

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 28, 2011 -- LifeVantage Corporation, makers of Protandim®, the Nrf2 Synergizer(TM) patented dietary supplement, today reported financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended June 30, 2011 and issued fiscal year 2012 revenue and operating income guidance.

For the fourth fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2011, the Company reported record net revenue of $15.0 million compared to $4.4 million for the same period in fiscal 2010, an increase of 241% from the prior year period. On a sequential basis, net revenue increased 50% from the $10.0 million reported for the third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2011.

Gross profit for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011 increased to $12.9 million compared to $3.7 million for the same period last year, delivering an improved gross margin of approximately 86%, compared to 83% for the same period last year.

Operating expenses for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2011 were $11.0 million compared to $4.0 million for the same period last year, and on a sequential basis increased 45% from $7.6 million in the third fiscal quarter of 2011. The increase on a sequential basis is due primarily to increased sales commissions which are a direct result of the Company's increased revenue. The increase also reflects greater investment in personnel and infrastructure to position the Company for future growth.

Operating income improved to $2.0 million for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2011 compared to a loss of $290 thousand in the same period last year. The fourth quarter of fiscal 2011 is the Company's fourth consecutive quarter of achieving operating income. Operating income margin improved to 13% in the fourth quarter compared to a negative margin in the same period last year.

Douglas C. Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of LifeVantage, stated, "We are extremely pleased to report a record year for LifeVantage, as our strong financial performance underscores the expanding awareness of Protandim® and the successful execution of our business model. On an annual basis, our revenue more than tripled compared to last year, and we increased our operating income in each quarter of fiscal 2011. We also made significant improvements to our balance sheet and ended the year in a very healthy financial position, which provides us the financial flexibility to make the appropriate strategic investments in fiscal 2012 to support our long-term growth opportunities."

Mr. Robinson continued, "As the scientific support of Protandim® grows and more people seek our products to improve their overall health and wellness, it is important for us to have the appropriate infrastructure to support the continued growth that we believe our business is capable of delivering. Looking toward fiscal 2012, we anticipate that our total net revenue will more than double compared to fiscal 2011 and our operating income will also increase by over 100%. To ensure that we are positioned to sustain rapid growth for years to come, we are committed to making the appropriate investments in our sales and marketing departments, research and development efforts, and within our corporate infrastructure. We are very focused on improving the efficiency of our organization and continuing to increase our operating income while we make these investments."

For the full year ended June 30, 2011, net revenue increased 238% to $38.9 million from $11.5 million in fiscal 2010. Gross profit improved to $33.0 million in fiscal 2011 compared to $9.6 million in fiscal 2010. Operating income increased to $3.7 million in fiscal 2011, compared to an operating loss of $7.3 million in fiscal 2010. Operating income margin improved to 9.5% for the year compared to a loss for the prior fiscal year.

The Company ended fiscal 2011 with a much stronger balance sheet than when the year began. Its cash balance improved to $6.4 million due to strong revenue growth and operating profits generated by the business. The Company generated $4.7 million of cash flow from operations for the full year fiscal 2011 compared to a cash use from operations of $4.5 million in fiscal 2010. During fiscal 2011, an aggregate face value of $5.6 million in debt was converted into shares of the Company's common stock, eliminating all convertible debt.

Due to the improvements made to its balance sheet in fiscal 2011 as well as the Company's outlook for strong operating cash flow in fiscal 2012, the Company recently announced a share repurchase program that authorizes it to utilize up to $5 million to purchase common stock over the course of the twelve months beginning October 1, 2011. Any such repurchases will be made only out of free cash flow from continuing operations and, on a quarterly basis, will not exceed 50% of free cash flow for such quarter.

LifeVantage Small Cap Equity Review

Press Release | 6/2/2011

Small cap equity research analyst James Brumley has published in-depth investment research of Lifevantage Corporation. The analysis can be reviewed by any interested part at the Small Cap Network (http://www.smallcapnetwork.com), a small-cap-focused research and news website that allows for community participation and research contribution from its members.

"Lifevantage Corporation is in the midst of a turnaround story, and investors who take a closer look at the company may find an idea most everyone else is overlooking while searching for something a little sexier," says Brumley. The declining sales trend seen between 2006 and 2008 has been reversed, in spades. Fiscal 2010's $11.5 million in revenue is a record, even if it was paired with a record loss of $11 million. The numbers and the way Lifevantage's fiscal calendar falls, however, may obscure something very compelling that's just unfolded in the last three quarters... the company has swung to a profit, and just posted its best quarterly sales ever. It managed to turn $10.0 million in revenue last quarter into a profit of $792,000. Brumley adds "Just to put it into perspective, this supplement distributor generated $7.46 million in revenue for the prior quarter (a record at the time), and generated $6.4 million in sales for the quarter before that (also a record at the time). The bottom line has been reliable too, with an operating per-share profit of $0.01 three quarters ago, what would have been about $0.01 worth of per-share profit two quarters ago (a big accounting benefit boosted the total), and it posted earnings of about $0.01 per share for the most recently-completed quarter." Unlike so many other pill and supplement makers/distributors, Lifevantage has something unique, effective, and patented - Protandim. This supplement improves a user's innate antioxidant protection, and the claim has been verified - repeatedly - in clinical studies. As such, the organization clearly has something that some corporations never find, which is a marketable product and a business model that works.

LifeVantage Dubs Protandim BSCG Approved

Press Release | 3/3/2011

LifeVantage Corporation, the maker of science-based solutions to oxidative stress, announced today that the Banned Substances Control Group (BSCG) recently certified its flagship product, Protandim, as free of substances banned by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and other professional and amateur sports associations. Protandim®, a patented dietary supplement comprised of five highly synergistic herbal ingredients, has been shown in earlier studies to activate the transcription factor Nrf2, a signal to the cell's DNA to regulate a network of protective genes.

"Samples of Protandim® have been analyzed for anabolic agents and stimulants and no prohibited compounds were detected in the product," stated Oliver Catlin, of the BSCG in Los Angeles, CA. "As a result, we have issued a certification for Protandim® at this time. The BSCG seal lets customers know the product has been certified and does not contain dangerous banned substances."

"We are proud that Protandim® has been scrutinized and certified by the BSCG to ensure that consumers and athletes are able to take the product with confidence," stated David W. Brown, President & CEO of LifeVantage. "We are pleased to participate in a program which helps to differentiate between responsible supplement manufacturers, of which we strive to be, and those whose products may present unnecessary risks."

"According to the BSCG, athletes are held personally liable for any substances prohibited by the USADA, the IOC, the NCAA, and the NFL which may be present in their bloodstream, regardless of the substances' origins," stated Gene Tipps, Senior Vice President of Operations of LifeVantage. "For this reason, athletes must be extremely careful about what they put into their bodies. We have found that a substantial number of athletes feel supplements are a vital part of their training regimen and as such, we are proud to be able to provide a quality product to those in the sports arena, athletes as well as consumers."

According to their website, the BSCG was founded by professionals with years of experience in the field of anti-doping analytical work and the group addresses the concern that dangerous banned substances can be found in dietary supplements, even when these substances are not listed as ingredients. The BSCG assists responsible dietary supplement manufacturers by utilizing cutting edge anti-doping methodology to analyze and certify that a sample of their product was tested for a list of banned substances, and that no banned substances were found in that sample above certain detection limits. More information on the BSCG can be found on their website, www.bscg.org.

Brown made the announcement before over 1,000 enthusiastic distributors gathered at the Company's Elite Academy in San Diego. He will work with a search committee to recommend a successor to assume corporate CEO and President responsibilities while Brown retains the title of CEO and President of the network marketing operations. "Given the tremendous growth and momentum we have generated and the continued opportunity before us, I believe, as does the Board, that I can bring more value to shareholders by focusing solely on continued revenue and growth," Brown said. Brown will continue to serve as corporate CEO and President until a successor is named and will continue to occupy a position on the Board.

LifeVantage recently announced that it anticipates reporting its highest net revenue to date of approximately $7.4 million for the three month period ended December 31, 2010, an increase of approximately $1.0 million or 15% over net revenue of $6.4 million reported in the previous three month period ended September 30, 2010, and an approximate $4.9 million or 196% increase in net revenue over the $2.5 million net revenue reported for the same quarter last year.

Along with recording net revenue of $7.4 million, the Company also anticipates operating income of at least $500,000 in the second fiscal quarter 2011. Operating income of $500,000 would generate nearly a 7% operating profit margin, compared to an operating loss of $2.7M for the same quarter last year.

"We are pleased to announce that we are exceeding our previous guidance and anticipate reporting our highest quarterly net revenue to date," stated Brown. "These results reflect the continued growth we have seen from both the U.S. and Japanese markets.
