QNET Marks 15th Anniversary

Press Release | 10/10/2013

Hong Kong October 04, 2013 -- Prominent Asian direct selling company, QNET, celebrated its fifteenth anniversary by getting its staff involved in 15 different community development projects around the world.

Driven by the employees in various QNET offices, the fifteen events kicked off a new campaign called Touching A Billion Hearts that was launched by Vijay Eswaran, the founder of QNET. Eswaran said that instead of simply setting QNET’s sights on becoming a billion dollar company, he wants to be a company that touches a billion hearts.

“The financial goals will follow,” he said in a speech to mark the fifteenth anniversary. “Over the years, we have surmounted everything, all the doubters that came along the way and we are here today! We know we already have touched many through the people that have heard of us and the people that have benefited from our commitment to improving communities. Now we have set a new, aspirational goal of touching not nine million, not one hundred million, but one billion hearts, over the coming years.

“The way we will touch a billion hearts will be in any way, subtle but sure,” he added. “Not conquering, just touching hearts so people know that they’re not alone. As we grow stronger and bigger, we will touch more and more hearts through not just network marketing, but in everything we do.”

The projects involved fundraising for a school for children with development disorders in Hong Kong, setting up an educational toy library for the aboriginal Orang Asli community in a village in Malaysia, donation of QNET’s best-selling water purification system to a labour camp in Dubai, basic computer training program for a group of under privileged boys in a municipality school in Bombay, India, a trip to Siam Ocean World for 30 young girls from an orphanage in Bangkok and several others in Jakarta, Colombo, Koh Samui, Manila and Singapore.

"Touching a Billion Hearts is not a CSR programme,” Eswaran said. “It is a legacy campaign that includes multiple factors. We reinforce our focus on touching people’s lives through our products, we go the extra mile to serve our customers, we enhance our technology platform to provide a delightful user experience, we give back to the communities that we operate in. Touching a Billion Hearts is about the various things QNET can do to impact and enhance someone’s life as a business and as a corporate entity.”

QNET Opens Office In Vietnam

Press Release | 8/27/2013

Ho Chi Minh City August 28, 2013 --QNET, one of Asia’s leading direct selling companies, has penetrated the Vietnamese direct selling sector by opening a new office here recently.

The company, which uses an e-commerce platform, hopes to gain a strong foothold in one of the region’s fastest growing markets.

QNET firmly believes the direct selling market in Vietnam -- which posted a 12 percent increase in retail sales last year -- offers tremendous potential for growth.

According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), global retail sales from direct selling in 2012 grew 5.4 percent, year-on-year, rising to US$166.9 billion. Of this figure, the Asia Pacific region’s share was 44 percent. Vietnam ranked 14th in Asia, with total retail sales of US$292 million.

“Looking at these figures, I project a 30-percent increase in the direct selling business worldwide over the next year,” said Dave Osh, QNET’s Chief Executive Officer. “QNET wants to help Vietnam play a leading role in this dramatic economic growth.”

QNET’s new office is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s business district, to serve the growing regional market and to meet the increasing demands of its Vietnamese customers. Vietnam is the eighth Asian country where QNET has established corporate offices.

The Ho Chi Minh City office will act as the main support centre for QNET in Vietnam and also help raise the profile of its business in neighboring Cambodia and Laos. It will serve as a customer service centre and provide training for QNET’s IRs.

“A huge number of potential customers, along with a familiarity with the direct selling industry, make Vietnam a very attractive market for QNET. And the existence of a well-established legal and regulatory framework for direct selling companies is a big bonus,” added Osh.

QNET sells a variety of exclusive lifestyle and wellness products to enhance the lives of its customers around the world. Its range of products includes personal care products, jewellery, holiday packages, weight management products and online educational courses.

“Our goal is to become the number-1 direct selling company in Vietnam. There is nothing more empowering to individuals than the financial freedom that a career in the direct selling industry provides, and we believe Vietnamese people, with their ambition and strong sense of entrepreneurship, will appreciate the products we sell and the business opportunities that QNET provides,” Osh said.

QNET Vietnam expects to play a key role with the Amcham Vietnam Direct Selling Committee, which regulates the local industry. The direct selling industry is projected to contribute significantly to Vietnam’s national economy in the coming years.

QNET Conference Draws 6000 Attendees

Press Release | 5/29/2013

May 24, 2013 -- QNET hosted a five-day mega gathering recently that was akin to a United Nations’ conference which brought together some 6,000 entrepreneurs from around the world to Malaysia.

Held at the Malawati Indoor Stadium in Shah Alam, the event billed as V-Malaysia 2013 attracted participants from over 30 countries including India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, the UAE, Indonesia and Malaysia.

The company’s distributors, known as Independent Representatives (IRs), had converged to learn from the personal experiences of top leaders of QNET from around the world.

The five day convention was an energy-packed, fun-filled, experience as the IRs vowed to Raise the Bar Higher, which was the theme of this year’s convention.

Pathman Senathirajah, Managing Director of The V, the global training and network management partner of QNET, who was bestowed the Master Networker of the Year (2011) award by Networking Times Magazine in the US, inspired the participants with his daily trainings that focused on the power of dreams, the importance of never giving up and the significance of ethical networking.

“At QNET, we give equal emphasis to the development of human capital, as we want to see our IRs flourish further and they truly become well-trained entrepreneurs. Our IRs get the opportunity to learn every aspect of direct selling from leaders who are experienced and successful.”

“Events like our V-Convention are geared towards meeting global standards of direct selling. QNET sees training as investment in attracting, retaining, and growing world-class entrepreneurs who will achieve greater success in this legitimate multi-billion dollar direct selling industry,” says Pathman about the convention.

More than 6000 QNET IRs visited the numerous booths at the QNET Pavilion, which showcased the approximately 40 brands of products and services under QNET’s nine product categories.

The IRs were able to sample and test various new products in the nutrition and digital range and receive information on the launch of new products including InShape - a weight management programme, InOcean, a mineral supplement, Pomelin – a nutrition product and AirPure, a home care product.

A daily attraction at the Pavilion was the Marussia F1 show car. Thousands thronged the booth to catch a glimpse of the F1 showpiece. QNET is the official direct selling partner of Marussia F1 Team.

Prashant Kumar from Bangalore, India said; “QNET’s partnership with F1 is amazing. Being an official direct selling partner gives us great exposure. I am a regular follower of F1 and I just love seeing QNET’s brand hitting the circuits around the world.”

QNET Chief Executive Officer, Dave Osh was happy that the V-Convention has been brought back to Malaysia after a short break.

“We have held six V-Conventions in Malaysia in the last decade, namely in Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and twice at Bukit Jalil. It’s an excellent event that takes months of meticulous planning. It also aids the local economy as more thousands of participants arrive in Malaysia and book hotel rooms and spend vast sums of money on shopping.

“Many stay on for days after to enjoy the local food and visit tourist spots, too. They especially take back with them fond memories of Malaysia and encourage others to visit the country. This is one of the ways QNET helps the local economy,” adds Osh.
